The future seems a long way away to Steven and his friends.
The weekend is a priority and GCSEs are a million miles away.
But Friday night doesn't go according to plan.
The future for Steven is one big nightmare. Get a job? Stay on at school? Work on his music? What should he do? Our Year 9 students saw Zip Theatre's play The Promise, written by Lesley Beaumont, as part of the Aimhigher Programme. It is designed to encourage young people to consider their post 16 options.
The Promise was an engaging, motivational production aimed at our students which explores options, doubts and new opportunities in an entertaining and accessible format. The Promise was fun but it had a serious message. The play included popular music and colourful characters and the intention is that young people watching the performance will be encouraged to consider their post 16 options. Did you know that there are degrees at university which include Disaster Management, Golf Studies, Computing Game Design, Tourism and Film Studies?
