The Music Department is a busy department both inside and outside of the classroom that offers a wide range of extra curricular activities to all of our pupils.

The groups that you can get involved in include:

Contemporary Choir
School Choir
Orchestra
Brass Ensemble
Wind Ensemble
Keyboard Club
Recorder Club
School Rock Bands

These ensembles perform at various events throughout the school year, including concerts and shows.

At Key Stage 4, our pupils have the option of choosing a BTEC Performing Arts course. This course is equivalent to 4 GCSEs and is largely practical based. Pupils study a wide range of topics including Solo Performance, Ensemble Performance and DJ Technology. One of the main coursework tasks is to organise and produce a show. Our current Year 11s have produced a variety of styles of shows including Variety Shows, an X Factor Competition and a Dance Show/Competition. Our pupils have raised a significant amount of money for charity through these concerts.

As well as having various opportunities to join a musical ensemble, here at Childwall we also offer a wide variety of individual lessons on various instruments. These include:
