Raising Money for Cancer Research

Warm hearted students at Childwall Sports College along with staff decided to raise money for Cancer Research by wearing ‘pink’ recently. All staff and students were encouraged to either wear a pink item of clothing or to carry a pink item. In addition there were a number of activities taking place throughout the day especially involving the school specialist subject Physical Education. Staff and students were also involved in other activities including face painting, over £600 was raised in the course of the day with money still coming in.

“Students and staff are always exceptionally generous in terms of fundraising. We had a marvellous day on ‘pink day’ at Childwall Sports College. Not only did we raise awareness of Breast Cancer but students learnt how important it is to help each other. As always I am exceptionally proud of staff and students.”
