Enterprising Students at Childwall

Recently all the year 10 students studying Business were involved in a series of ‘enterprise’ activities led by Miss Maddock, Mr Mullarkey and Miss Baker. Students worked for extended periods of time on group activities which brought into play key issues relating to team work, commitment, enthusiasm, financial planning and outcomes. Students were able to use their ‘enterprise’ portfolios developed on the day to enhance their course work for their Keystage 4 Business Studies and Enterprise examination work. Students had a thoroughly enjoyable day working in teams in the schools Learning Resource Centre and working to strict deadlines to ensure that their ‘enterprise’ activities were completed.

“Our Year 10 students perusing Business Studies to examination level had a superb day on their ‘enterprise’ day. Students thoroughly enjoyed working in teams and I have no doubt that the GCSE results for 2011 will show that the youngsters have ‘enterprising’ results from all subject areas.”
