Politician’s Visit

Recently David Laws MP who is the Lib Dem Spokesman on Education and Colin Eldrige Liverpool City Councillor and perspective Lib Dem MP visited Childwall Sports College. Students in Years 8 and 10 were delighted to have the opportunity to quiz both politicians on Lib Dem Policies. The wide ranging questions put to the politicians by the students included questions regarding Afghanistan; Lib Dem Policy on finance and MP’s expenses! Students were delighted to be given the opportunity to quiz the politicians and equally the politicians were highly impressed not only by the warm welcome given by students at Childwall Sports College but also their political understanding.

Both politicians were delighted to complete Childwalls Visitors Book for 2009 and all at Childwall were delighted at the comments written by David Laws MP which were as follows...”many thanks! I really enjoyed meeting the pupils they were both friendly and impressive! Councillor Colin Eldridge commented in the schools visitors book “as always, absolutely wonderful!”

Students gained enormously from the visit as indeed I’m sure did the politicians.
