Recently a group of students from year 10 at Childwall Sports College took part in the Science Olympics competition for all Liverpool schools. The competition was arranged by the Liverpool Local Authority and in particular Aim Higher Group. The heats took place at Liverpool University Chadwick Laboratories with representation from all of Liverpool taking part.
The four Childwall students were Adam Manley, Ryan Kelly, Adam Hitchmough and Zak Trivedi. The boys did exceptionally well to achieve a very creditable third place in the heats. The team will now progress to the Merseyside and Cheshire finals with high hopes of continued success. The team was coached by members of Childwall’s Science Faculty with Mrs. Jacqui Lynam accompanying the team to the university.
“Science is a very popular and successful subject at Childwall. My congratulations go to the year 10 team on their success at Liverpool University.”
