Spain comes to Childwall

Recently Childwall Sports College held its year 8 Humanities Achievement Ceremony were parents and staff were invited to view the skills and talents of year 8 students who had been working on a themed project on ‘Spain’. The Humanities disciplines of RE, history and geography combined on a cross curricular project with students studying religious festivals in Spain, the effects of the Spanish Civil War and the Geography of the country of Spain.

Large numbers of students in year 8 received certificates and awards for their outstanding work in humanities. Miss McNally, Key Stage 3 Humanities Co-ordinator master minded the proceedings. The highly successful event ended with all participants being invited to share in a typical Spanish meal.
