Progress File Success

Year 11 students at Childwall Sports College were delighted to receive their Progress Files at a high profile ceremony which marked the end of the exam period at Childwall 2010. In keeping with Childwall status as a specialist sports college the school invited Tony Garbelotto who is the Everton Tigers and Great Britain Basketball coach to present award to year 11 students.

The school hall was packed with parents, governors, PTA members in addition to representatives from Liverpool Local Authority and neighbouring primary schools. Tony Garbelotto gave an inspiring speech to year 11 students encouraging them to once again exceed the schools targets for GCSE.

Dear Mr Phillips

I just wanted to drop you a quick email to thank you for inviting me to your Year 11 awards event yesterday. It was again another fantastic event and I hope that my short talk went down well. I also wanted to thank you for the picture as this was a very nice surprise.
