A Taste of the World of Work

Year 11 Work Experience 21st June 2010 to 2nd July 2010

Year 11 pupils have just successfully completed their 2 week block work experience.

Pupils have spent the year preparing for this event by studying the world of work during PSHE lessons. Pupils have been given the opportunity of selecting from a wide choice of work placements including jobs in schools, offices, nurseries, hairdressers, hospitals, shops, restaurants, hotels and garages.

The work experience programme aims to help pupils to develop career ideas, build confidence and self esteem and improve knowledge and skills. The feedback received from the employers has been extremely positive and all Year 11 are to be congratulated on their mature and positive approach during this period.
