Indian A Level Art

As part of the highly successful ‘A’ Level Art course at Childwall Sports College Ms Kim Earle, Head of Faculty and Head of Art recently invited a specialist Indian Dancer, Bisakha Sarkhar, to undertake a series of sessions with Art students from Childwall and neighbouring Secondary Schools. The session was held in the school’s unique Dance Studio which saw the ‘A’ Level students drawing images of the Dancer as part of their 'A' Level Art portfolios.

Students were encouraged to continue to draw and improve upon the original sketches as part of their final 'A' Level submission. Standards of Art are obviously very high and this further activity to raise even further the highest standards was well received by both students and staff. Many staff were obviously interested in the presence of our special guest who also took part in sessions with Key Stage 4 (Years 10/11) specialist Dance students.
