Creative Arts Project on Human Rights

Gifted and Talented pupils in Year 8 went on a protest last Friday as part of a Creative Arts project on Human Rights.

They had spent time after school researching the work of artworld activists, The Guerrilla Girls who are based in Los Angeles, and had conducted action research on the work exhibited in local galleries such as The Walker and The Tate. Theur findings showed that less than 3% of the artwork on display was by a female artist and the Walker only had ONE PIECE BY A BLACK ARTIST!!

We hope that the Walker and the Tate both try to rectify this situation immediately!! Our protest in gorilla masks protected our identities but look out for us the Liverpool Echo this week!
