10K Training

Year 10 students at Childwall Sports College, all of whom are studying P.E., are preparing for the Tunnel Race to be held on 31st May 2009. Students have been prepared and trained by Mr. Porter who is in charge of Key Stage 4 Physical Education at Childwall Sports College. All the runners are eagerly looking forward to the challenge of the 10K race and all are in the process of collecting sponsorship for a range of charities which will benefit from the run being successfully completed by students in Year 10. Mr. Porter and other members of the P.E. Faculty will also be running on this particular day. We are also delighted to announce that staff from other faculties are also in training for this important run. Other teacher athletes include Miss Morgan one of the school’s Assistant Headteachers.

"As a Specialist Sports College we obviously are extremely keen that our students are involved in Physical Education on all possible occasions. I am delighted that so many of our Year 10 students are entering the Tunnel Race and my thanks go to Mr. Porter for making the arrangements.
