Science Specialists

Recently a group of Year 10 students have been attending Science lectures at Liverpool University. Pictured are students Jodie McGorry, Mark Newton and Stephanie Norris who have been receiving lessons from staff at Liverpool University on a broad range of science based subjects and in particular medically based science such as radiotherapy. At the end of the programme students were asked to complete a presentation to summarise their learning over the period of time at Liverpool University. Science Faculty Staff at Liverpool University were delighted at the knowledge, attitude and commitment of the Childwall students and the feedback from the university was that “Childwall Sports College were exemplary and engaged in all the activities”.

I was thrilled that Jodie, Mark and Stephanie, with other students, had been invited to take part in Science lectures at Liverpool University. Students not only enjoyed but learnt from the experience and I am sure that they will do exceptionally well in their GCSE and 'A' Level Science examinations.” Dewi Phillips, Headteacher.
