In 2008 Childwall Sports College was selected as the first ever school from the Northwest to exhibit at the Royal Society. Students in Key Stage 4 worked with University Lecturers from Bangor University on a series of projects aimed at analysing the water content of local rivers and in particular the Menai Straits. As a result students were highly commended for their work and were delighted to be the first ever school from the Northwest to be invited to the prestigious Royal Society Exhibition.
In July 2009 the following students were invited to return to the Royal Society due to their outstanding work on behalf of the Royal Society in 2008:
This is a superb reflection of the high quality work which goes on in all subjects at Childwall but particularly Science and ICT.
