Creative Arts Awards Evening
This July saw Childwall's first Creative Arts Award Evening at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool. The event gave the BAFTAs a run for their money! Marking the school's achievement of ARTSMARK GOLD, pupils from across all years received awards for exellence within the fields of Art, Drama, Music and Media Studies. The winners of the major awards were:
- Aron Julius (KS3)
- Sam Povall (KS4)
- Craig Watt (KS5)
Special Contribution to the Arts went to Year 9 pupil Aaron Booth and the KS5 Steve Cooper Award went to Alan Millington.
We also said 'Goodbye" to Mrs Kay Lambert who retired after an incredible and much valued teaching career which started in 1965! She awarded 'The Kay Lambert Award for Sheer Hard Work to specially selected pupils.
This was a truly memorable night and great fun was had by all!
