British Food Fortnight

Childwall Sports College prides itself on being a multi-cultural school which offers a diverse learning environment to all of its pupils. The Food Technology Department recognizes and celebrates a variety of cultural events in the Food Calendar and one such event was very close to our own doorstep "British Food Fortnight". Pupils and staff researched a variety of traditional recipes from the countries which make up Great Britain and prepared and cooked delicious food products for parents, staff and pupils to taste during the Open Evening on Thursday 24th September. The menu consisted of English Cheeses, Mini English Breakfast, Welsh Cakes, Bara Brith, Soda Bread, Leek and Potato Soup, Potato Cakes, Scottish Shortbread and Cherry Scones. The event was a success with everyone enjoying a sample of 'British Foods'. Well done to all of the pupils and staff involved.
