Around 330 million people speak Spanish as their first language, making it one of the largest markets for business and one of the most useful languages in the world for travel. Approximately another 100 million speak Spanish as a second language. Spanish is expected to become the first language of 50% of the population of the United States within 50 years. Due to its Latin roots, similar alphabet and pronunciation, Spanish is one of the easiest languages for an English speaker to learn.
