General Information

Childwall Sports College has one of the largest Sixth Form’s in the City, with over 300 students on roll. In 2009 Ofsted deemed the Pastoral Support as ‘Outstanding’ within the Sixth Form.

In autumn 2011, we are looking forward to the opening of our New Build Sixth Form Centre on Queens Drive. The scheme will provide us with brand new facilities,including three modern learning spaces for use by students, making up a modern education centre with access to the new library facilities.

Our Sixth Form specialises in a number of BTEC qualifications, such as the Society Health and Development Diploma (SHAD) and the Extended Diploma in Sport, run in conjunction with Everton Football Club. Our Sixth Form is home to the Mersey Tigers Basketball Academy, who compete nationally in the youth championships.

We are part of a diverse Post-16 collaborative, incorporating Broadgreen International School, King David High, St. Francis of Assisi Academy and Liverpool Community College. We extend a warm welcome to all students, from our partner schools and any other school across the region, to our annual Post-16 Options Evening, held on Thursday 3rd February 2011.

Admission to the Sixth Form is by application only. Applications from students of all abilities are encouraged, as we offer both a competitive Level 2 and Level 3 curriculum.
